Opening the Door to the Gospel
Outreaching the Intha people in Inle Lake (Latest Update from Missionary Jonah, Aug 2025):

Inle Lake is home to the Intha people, a community living on the water. The disaster there was severe, but due to timely aid, the victims have been fairly well resettled. However, because many young people have fled to avoid military conscription, the region lacks labourers. Many families whose homes were damaged are in urgent need of help to rebuild. We brought funds specifically prepared for rebuilding homes to lend them a helping hand.

From Disaster to Divine Encounter

By God’s grace, CCM missionaries have:
✅ Entered Buddhist temples in Yamethin region
✅ Reached previously unreached villages
✅ Built bridges with local communities

Inle Lake Breakthrough:
The Holy Spirit is moving powerfully!
➤ Closed hearts now open to the Gospel
➤ 13 families expressing hunger to know Christ

“I have set before you an open door that no one can shut” (Revelation 3:8)

Pray for:

  • Discipleship for new believers

  • Continued favor with village leaders

  • Protection for frontline workers

Myanmar Earthquake: What Can You Do for the Lord?

Jesus saw the crowds and had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. (Matthew 9:36)

On March 28, 2025, a 7.7-magnitude earthquake struck Mandalay Province, Myanmar, causing significant casualties and property damage. Chinese Christian Mission (CCM) deeply sympathizes with the suffering of our Myanmar brothers and sisters and has decided to immediately launch an emergency relief operation to provide assistance within our capacity.

CCM’s relief efforts will focus on emergency aid, post-disaster reconstruction, psychological support, and mobilizing church resources.

The relief plan consists of two main phases: Emergency Relief and Reconstruction Assistance.

Praise God for His Mercy and Grace!

Through the Lord’s moving, brothers and sisters in Australia united in prayer and generous giving. Since April, we have received AUD $36,850.98 in disaster relief donations.

Every dollar has been transferred to CCM Singapore and delivered to Myanmar missionaries, providing critical supplies to 4,793 families in rural disaster areas.

“You will be enriched in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God.”
— 2 Corinthians 9:11

Thank you for being God’s hands and feet to the suffering!

Praise and thank the Lord! While our frontline relief team has been busy caring for our suffering brothers and sisters affected by the earthquake, our evangelism team in the background has also been actively serving. Thanks to the thoughtful planning of Pastor Peter from the Nazirite Mission Training Center (our local co-worker), we’ve had the opportunity to go not to the well-known/popular disaster sites, but to lesser-known, severely affected areas. This has allowed us to quietly and wholeheartedly serve those in deep need.

Among these efforts, Pastor Eddie led a team to evangelize in villages near Mong Hsu City, sharing the Gospel with over 500 villagers. Praise the Lord—103 Ta’ang people accepted Christ! Meanwhile, Pastor Aimong (埃夢), who serves in the remote Mongpawn region, also led a family of three to Christ yesterday. He additionally helped remove idol items that their child had been wearing, as part of their step of faith.

All glory to God!
